We at St Matthew’s would like to say a big thank you to Eddie Dixon of E Dixon and J Thompson, glaziers and builders based in the village and to the staff and lads.On the approach to Christmas Eddie again offered to do work for the church and provided the materials and labour to paint the churchyard railings and gates and to do some pointing of the wall at the west side of the churchyard and on their last working day before the Christmas break his lads gave their time to do the jobs. It was a gesture that we truly appreciate and shows community spirit is alive and well, thank you all once again.
